Regional Director Special Election - Region 10 August 21 12:00 PM - 03:00 PM REGIONAL DIRECTOR ELECTION INFO: Location: Santa Barbara DCC HQ REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 11:00 A.M. A special election has been scheduled to fill the vacancy of Regional Director for Region 10. August 11 at 5:00 p.m. was the deadline for candidates to file their letters of intent in our Sacramento office. Only one candidate from Region 10 has filed: Region 10 - Cory Black Even though only one person has filed, a meeting of the Region still needs to be convened to officially elect that person. Per the CDP Rules and By-Laws, the State Party Chairman is required to call a meeting of 2009-2011 Democratic State Central Committee Members registered to vote in Region 10 (AD 33, 35, 37, 41) at the time the By-Law Amendment was adopted by the Executive Board on July 17, 2010. This caucus shall come to order at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 and I have designated Region 9 Director Shawn Bagley to be the facilitator of this meeting. Please try to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the meeting to check-in.To participate, you must attend in person or you may appoint a proxy to represent you and act in your stead. Vote-by-Mail balloting is not allowed for a special Regional Director election – either you or your proxy must be present to cast your vote. Remember, to participate your 2010 dues must be current. If you have not paid your dues, please mail $45 to our Sacramento office or bring a check to the meeting during registration.
